The
Gordon Sinclair Memorial Fund is organized to provide continuing
support to the Vancouver Police Pipe Band and to honour one of
the Band's most respected members. Through the fund, the
Vancouver Police Pipe Band solicits assistance for special projects
undertaken by the band.

Constable
Gordon Sinclair, a member of the Vancouver Police Department and
bandsman, was killed in the line of duty on December 7th, 1955.
Gordon Sinclair was involved in the local pipe band and highland
dancing community and was President of the BC Pipers Association
for a number of years. An experienced piper, composer and leader,
Gordon Sinclair was a popular member of the Vancouver highland
arts community. Through the kind permission of the
Sinclair family - whose son Ian later rose to the rank of Inspector
within the Vancouver Police Department and Pipe Major of the Vancouver
Police Pipe Band - we are proud to honour his service to the city,
department and band through this fund.
The
Vancouver Police Pipe Band would like to acknowledge the generous
support of the following organizations and individuals. With untold
numbers of organizations soliciting support for very worthwhile
causes, we recognize their donations could be placed elsewhere
and are truly appreciative of their commitment to the Band and
the Gordon Sinclair Memorial Fund.
